Bill Nye Goes On Profanity-Laced Tirade Over Global Warming

Sensing he’s lost his street cred with the kids, Bill Nye the so-called ‘Science Guy’ produced a profanity-laced segment about global warming.

Nye, whose degree and background are in mechanical engineering, not science at all, believes the world is essentially on fire due to climate change.

And he’d really like you to listen to him.

During an appearance with HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Nye produced an edgy and super-hyperbolic lecture on the earth’s impending doom due to humans and their planet-devouring industries.

“By the end of this century, if emissions keep rising, the average temperature on Earth could go up another four to eight degrees,” Nye claimed without evidence.

Odd, since between the years 1996 and 2016, the average global temperature didn’t budge. Now all of a sudden it’s going to skyrocket eight degrees, one degree every ten years.

So Edgy

Nye then pivots into condescension mode, which is what the global warming alarmists really think about you.

“What I’m saying is the planet’s on f***ing fire. There are a lot of things we could do to put it out — are any of them free? No, of course not. Nothing’s free, you idiots. Grow the f*** up. You’re not children anymore. I didn’t mind explaining photosynthesis to you when you were 12. But you’re adults now, and this is an actually crisis, got it?”

This is the American left, the self-proclaimed party of science.

“Safety glasses off, motherf***ers,” Nye concluded.

Wonder if he’ll use the same paraphrased script to explain how a human being is made to pro-abortion leftists.

For Twenty Years the Earth’s Temperature Didn’t Change

As mentioned earlier, Nye expects the Earth’s temperature to rise as high as eight degrees by the turn of the century. But we’ve heard these ridiculous hot takes before. In this article by the New York Times in 1996, reporters declare that Earth has just experienced the “hottest year on record.”

“The average temperature was 58.72 degrees Fahrenheit,” the report states, “seven-hundredths of a degree higher than the previous record, established in 1990.”

Then in 2016, Air and Space Magazine reported:

Earth’s temperature rose above the 20th century average of 57 degrees Fahrenheit, making the planet about 58.7 degrees.

58.72 to 58.7. Somebody grab me a sweater.

Green New Deal Will Do NOTHING

Oliver and Nye used this segment in a discussion of the Green New Deal, the radical environmental proposal from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that most experts scoff at and point at with disdain.

“To its eternal credit, the Green New Deal has succeeded in getting people talking, but that won’t mean anything unless that talk turns into action,” Oliver claimed.

We can’t imagine environmentalists were hoping the only people talking about the deal were comedians and washed up mechanical engineers.

A study published by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) disputed the idea that the Green New Deal would have any effect on the environment, concluding that there would be “no effect” on the Earth’s climate.
