The Clinton dynasty is over. There’s nothing left for the former First Family other than green pastures and open sky.

Democrats have taken an internal poll of their membership and have decided one thing: Bill Clinton no more!

According to Politico, the former President is a pariah to the party. The #MeToo movement, which was launched by the lurid revelations of liberal Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, has galvanized the Democrats. One person they can’t afford to have within their ranks is Slick Willy, and all the connotations that come from his little tryst with Monica Lewinsky all those years ago.

From the report:

Democrats are looking to embrace the #MeToo moment and rally women to push back on President Donald Trump in the midterms—and they don’t want Bill Clinton anywhere near it.

In a year when the party is deploying all their other big guns and trying to appeal to precisely the kind of voters Clinton has consistently won over, an array of Democrats told POLITICO they’re keeping him on the bench. They don’t want to be seen anywhere near a man with a history of harassment allegations, as guilty as their party loyalty to him makes them feel about it.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, vice chair of the House Progressive Caucus, had this to say: “I think it’s pretty tough,” referring to Clinton. Wild Bill’s presence “just brings up a lot of issues that will be very tough for Democrats. And I think we all have to be clear about what the #MeToo movement was.”

You can say that again. In fact, it’s what conservatives have long argued: Liberals aren’t liberals if they still pal around with lecherous Bill Clinton.

This ditching of Clinton isn’t surprising given that Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, once a staunch Clinton ally, has disavowed the family in an attempt to cultivate the hard-left for her 2020 bid for president.

If progressives ditch Bill, that means they leave Hillary, too. And that’s all she wrote when it comes to the Clinton dynasty.
