Biden Reiterates That If President, He Will Immediately Rejoin The Paris Climate Agreement

Joe Biden reiterated on Wednesday that if was elected president, the United States would immediately rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement.

That same day, the Trump administration officially pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement, three years after the President announced he would do so.

Biden Will Rejoin Paris Agreement As President

The same day, Joe Biden swore that “in exactly 77 days, a Biden Administration will rejoin it.”

This was not a new announcement from Biden.

In the climate section of his campaign website, he made clear that a Biden administration would not only re-enter the Paris Climate Agreement, but also “lead a major diplomatic push to raise the ambitions of countries’s climate targets.”

“Biden was there alongside President Obama to rally the world to get to Paris; and he will be prepared on day one of his presidency to take it to the next level,” it continued.

“Biden will use every tool of American foreign policy to push the rest of the world to raise their ambitions alongside the United States.”

Biden’s Left-wing Climate Policies

The section on climate change and energy not only says that Biden will push for a “clean energy revolution,” but also “climate justice.”

Further, Biden’s website claims that he backs the far-left Green New Deal as a “crucial framework for meeting the climate challenges we face.”

The plan claims that polluters “disproportionately harm communites of color and low-income communities,” and says that Biden will “make it a priority for all agencies to engage in community-driven approaches to develop solutions for environmental injustices affecting communities of color, low-income, and indigenous communities.”

During the Presidential debate, Biden also admitted that he would “transition away from the oil industry,” effectively ending the jobs of thousands of Americans.

Leftists Set To Take Control Under A Democrat White House?

The hardcore leftists within the Democrat Party, such as members of the ‘Squad,’ like AOC and Ilhan Omar, are set to hold Biden’s feet to the fire to push him even further left.

Omar told Axios in October that they were ready to fill his cabinet and push Biden to “act accordingly” on policies such as banning fracking – a policy that is massively unpopular in his birth state of Pennsylvania, a state which will be crucial to deciding the result of the election.

It’s not only on climate action where progressives would push Biden.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said last month that AOC and and Omar would be “pulling the strings and calling the shots” in a Biden administration, and make him pack the Supreme Court with leftist judges.

AOC herself claimed that they should look to govern without bipartisanship.

She claimed that, should Democrats take control of all three branches of government, they should go for “leaps in policy” to show what a Democrat agenda can really be like.

The chances look slim for Democrats to take all three branches, but there should be no doubt that progressives will look to drag Biden as far left as possible.
