Emboldened by his success in the Democrat primaries, radical presidential candidate Bernie Sanders continued his public praise of dictator Fidel Castro at a town hall event Monday night.
He even tossed in some accolades for communist China for good measure.
Sanders was questioned by CNN host Chris Cuomo about recent comments he made regarding Castro’s literacy program and the suggestion that “it’s unfair to simply say everything [he did] is bad.”
Bernie Sanders Sticks By His Views On Castro
Cuomo noted widespread condemnation for the Vermont senator’s statements. Yet, Bernie remained undeterred by the backlash. Sanders, in his response, continued to bizarrely focus on Castro’s literacy program.
“The response was, when Fidel Castro first came to power … he initiated a major literacy program,” Sanders replied. “There was a lot of folks in Cuba at that point who were illiterate. He formed a literacy brigade, they went out and helped people learn to read and write. You know what? I think teaching people to read and write is a good thing.”
WOW! Bernie Sanders just doubled down on his defense of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro’s literacy program at tonight’s #CNNTownHall.

Sanders Also Praises China
Focusing single-mindedly on a literacy program is one of the more absurd things we’ve seen in politics. It’s like saying ‘Ted Bundy really loved his wife, and I think loving your wife is a good thing. Never mind that whole serial killer thing.’
And if you want more evidence that Sanders’ frontrunner status is propelling him to leave his socialist/communist credentials right out in the open for all of America to see, observe the following …
“China is an authoritarian country becoming more and more authoritarian. But can anyone deny, I mean the facts are clear, that they have taken more people out of extreme poverty than any country in history,” Sanders expounded. “Do I get criticized because I say that? It’s the truth. So that is the fact, end of discussion.”
In 2019, the BBC reported that an estimated one million people were being held in concentration camps in China. In their efforts to implement communism, an estimated 45 million of their own people were starved to death.
But yea, the poverty rate plunged.
I was in 2nd Grade when Sandinistas came to power in Nicaragua. They adopted Cuban education model. The books/curriculum taught ideological indoctrination. Children had to recite communist, revolutionary, anti-American slogans. That’s how communist teach people to read and write.

Cruz (And Everybody Else) Slams Sanders
Critics on both sides of the aisle have taken Sanders to task for his comments praising communist dictators.
House Majority Whip James Clyburn warned that having a ‘democratic socialist’ at the top of the ticket was going to cost his party the House.
Senator Bob Menendez called Bernie’s comments “outrageous” and facetiously said he was “sure all those who died at Castro’s hands” appreciated the literacy program.
Democratic Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, who represents Florida, a typical swing state in presidential elections with a large population of Cuban exiles who fled Castro’s brutal ‘literacy program,’ said his statements were “absolutely unacceptable.”
“It really makes a difference when those you murder at the firing squad can read [and] write,” Texas Senator Ted Cruz quipped.
Cruz called Sanders out over this past summer when the brazen communist celebrated China back then as well.
“Sure, the Chinese Communists have wrongfully imprisoned [and] tortured millions, and they have murdered over 65 million people, but Bernie may have a point: when you’re dead, your poverty’s solved, right?” he wrote.
Sanders Misses The Big Picture
It may be easy to joke about such an extremist heading up the Democrat party in America right now, but the mindset can’t be dismissed. Bernie Bros don’t have the capability to think more than two steps ahead. Literacy is good, they think, but can’t grasp that communism is deadly. Abortion is good for women, they think, but are unable to grasp the ramifications for the baby. To name a couple of examples.
This dangerous mindset is what Bernie believes, genuinely. It’s what his young followers believe because they’ve been indoctrinated in the education system to believe these radical ideas. And if President Trump doesn’t stop him in 2020, this is what is coming to America.
You’ve been warned.
