Bernie Sanders Poll Numbers Slip After Endorsement by the Squad

Bernie Sanders has seen his poll numbers slip a bit ever since a majority of the ‘Squad’ – Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – endorsed him for President.

A report by The Hill, which focuses mainly on former Vice President Joe Biden’s own dip in the polls, also notes that Sanders lost two points in a hypothetical matchup between him and President Trump.

The number represents an 8-point drop since June.

Another poll by HarrisX shows a drop from 17 percent prior to the Squad’s endorsement to 14 percent in their latest 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary poll.

Feel the Bern

The Hill also reported on October 22nd, one week after reports surfaced indicating the Squad was throwing their support behind Bernie, that Senator Elizabeth Warren had ‘overtaken’ Sanders for second in their latest poll.

It would appear the unhinged leftists don’t have quite the clout over Democrat voters as they do over cowardly party leaders.

Vox Weekend Editor Sean Collins wrote at the time that endorsements from AOC, Omar, and Tlaib are just what the doctor ordered.

“The endorsement of the representatives, all popular with the Democratic base, could help the candidate find new support and reenergize his campaign,” hinted Collins.

Yet, these latest polls show the only energy resulting from their endorsements is that necessary to play a sad trombone.

Mockery

Sanders was a subject of mockery earlier this week when he joined Tlaib, both a couple of avowed socialists, in front of empty grocery store shelves for an interview.

If ever there were a preview of things to come if Bernie were running the country, that’d be it.

A CBS reporter also noted the contrast in messaging involved in the Squad – who always plays the race card – locking arms with an “old white guy.”

“I’m actually very excited about this partnership because it shows what we have to do in our country is that we have to come together across race, across gender, across generation,” Ocasio-Cortez explained.

Perhaps they’re playing four-dimensional chess, knowing they are unpopular amongst registered voters and an endorsement would take Bernie down and move Warren to the top. We doubt they’re smart enough to pull that off though.
