Bank Of America To Cut Off ‘Military-Style’ Gun Manufacturers

Bank of America Gun ban

A second bank has joined the corporate boycott of Americans’ gun rights, and will surely be boycotted by customers in return.

Bank of America vice chair Anne Finucane announced Tuesday that the bank will stop lending money to companies that manufacture “military-style” rifles that are available for civilians to purchase. Bank of America is a lender to Vista Outdoor, Remington, and Ruger.

“These are clients we have enjoyed a relationship with,” Finucane told Bloomberg TV. “There are those I think will reduce their portfolios and we’ll work with them and others that will choose to do something else.”

According to Finucane, Bank of America has been “exploring ways it could contribute to stemming gun violence” since Parkland. She also hinted that Bank of America could stop doing business with retailers that sell so-called assault weapons in the future. “That’s a good public dialogue, but that’s a ways off,” she said.

This is absurd – and it’s far from Bank of America’s first offense. Back in 2007, the bank began offering credit cards to customers without Social Security numbers, who are typically illegal immigrants. Clearly, Bank of America is more concerned about helping illegals than they are upholding the constitutional rights of American citizens. Their name couldn’t be more ironic.

Unsurprisingly, many Americans are calling for customers of Bank of America to boycott.

Bank of America follows in the un-American steps of Citigroup, who announced last month that they will no longer work with firms that sell guns to customers who have not passed a background check, or who are younger than 21.
