Globalists Are Winning Out Over America-First Strategy

Mike Allen of AXIOS claims the voices in the White House who surround President Trump are not ‘America First’ voices and thus the agenda we have been pushing was moved aside.

Now don’t get me wrong. Americans needed tax cuts in the worse way, along with the mandate for Obamacare to be removed, but let’s not forget many of the ‘America First’ voices in the Trump Administration left the White House between month three and the end of last year. Some removed themselves while others were fired.

But have the Trump supporters been conned? Allen claims the ones left over guiding President Trump are globalist and their tentacles are based on an ‘Economy First’ attitude. What’s missing right now is building the wall, ending chain migration, ending the immigration lottery system, and shoring up better trade numbers for America. All of these things got moved to year two of the Trump presidency and they will now be a tougher fight with a slim 51-49 lead in the Senate and midterms coming up.

Why it matters: Trump is getting conflicting advice. The Bannon purists want America First, and most of his friends want Economy First. So far, he’s governed like a fairly conventional Republican, so the Economy First camp is winning. The next month — with pending decisions on immigration and trade wars — will show whether he reverts to his campaign norm in action, not just words.

What to watch: The Bannon-Breitbart-Stephen Miller wing believes Trump has to deliver on building a wall, curtailing immigration and cracking down on China. Moderating forces like Gary Cohn, Steven Mnuchin, James Mattis and Rex Tillerson are counseling against moves that could alienate allies and roil global markets. Watch for a hot war this next month in conservative media on this front.

Everyone is losing their minds on this.

The entire blow up over author Michael Wolff’s assertions of what Bannon said is ridiculous. Let this play out. In a couple of months, no one will even remember what happened. Remember when it was eminent that Trump was going to fire Sessions, or that this or that was the end of the “deplorable revolution”? Learn to wait and see what is real and what is illusion.

Just a few short weeks ago we were told that Flynn would testify that Trump ordered him to work with the Russians during the campaign. The house of cards was about to collapse. So, what became of that?

It was bunk, like so much of it. Just be calm and let thing become clear. You look less foolish, and it is better for your mental health and let’s keep our eyes on the prize. We have to make sure the ‘America First’ policies are implemented because with articles like the one over at AXIOS, I can’t say they are wrong and that angers me.
