An Army veteran is the fifth woman in two weeks to accuse liberal Minnesota Sen. Al Franken of sexual assault.
Stephanie Kemplin told CNN that Franken cupped her breast during a photo op in 2003. The alleged incident occurred while Franken was visiting American troops with the USO.
Kemplin said she was excited to meet Franken, having been a long time fan of “Saturday Night Live.” But while she posed for a photo with him, he took the opportunity to grope her breast. “When he put his arm around me, he groped my right breast. He kept his hand all the way over on my breast,” Kemplin said. “I’ve never had a man put their arm around me and then cup my breast. So he was holding my breast on the side.”
She added, “I remember thinking — is he going to move his hand? Was it an accident? Was he going to move his hand? He never moved his hand.”
Kemplin says the inappropriate touching lasted for around 5 to 10 seconds. She eventually shifted so that Franken was forced to move his hand before the picture was taken.
“And I remember thinking – is he going to move his hand?”

Four other women have accused Franken of similar behavior. Lindsay Menz claims that Franken groped her backside during a photo taken at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010. Two more unidentified women claim that Franken also grabbed their butts in separate incidents in 2007 and 2008. Both alleged incidents happened at political events during Franken’s first campaign for Senate.
The first woman to accuse Franken of sexual assault, Leeann Tweeden, claims that the Senator groped and forcibly kissed her during a USO tour in 2006.
The Senate Ethics Committee is currently looking into the allegations against Franken, but Franken has stubbornly maintained his innocence. His spokesperson issued a statement following Kemplin’s accusations Wednesday night: “As Sen. Franken made clear this week, he takes thousands of photos and has met tens of thousands of people and he has never intentionally engaged in this kind of conduct. He remains fully committed to cooperating with the ethics investigation.”
This is just despicable. Like most liberals, Franken is refusing to own up to his actions and take responsibility. Hopefully the Senate Ethics Committee finds him guilty and he’s kicked out of Washington for good.
