Attorney General Jeff Sessions officially made the decision last week, firing former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, which threatened his pension. McCabe had already planned to retire in March, but he stepped down in January ahead of the release of the “Nunes Memo.” Despite stepping down, he wasn’t to officially resign until March, so he’d keep his full pension. Sessions fired McCabe just hours before McCabe would’ve qualified for his full pension.

To clarify – McCabe did NOT lose his entire pension, as many sources initially reported. Accrued pension benefits cannot be stripped from federal employees. McCabe is being stripped of the additional benefits he would’ve received had he not been fired before turning 50 on Sunday.

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell suggested that Congressional Democrats hire McCabe for a brief enough time where he’d qualify for a pension. A number of Democrats have reached out to make such an offer, but the “resisters” in the public aren’t lining up to give their money to a man who already has more than they ever will.

McCabe’s net worth is estimated at around $11 million, and his pension would’ve paid out $1.8 million. Remember, he’s only 50 years old. Not only was he set to retire a solid two decades before the average American, he was about to do so with a pension totaling what most people don’t manage to earn over a lifetime.

Silicon Valley millionaire Jason Calacanis led the charge, apparently thinking his fans would want to give their money to another millionaire.

To the credit of Jason’s readers, most of which are leftists, the reactions were overwhelmingly negative.

Unfortunately for Jason, the fundraiser has a long way to go until it reaches $1.8 million, but others have hopped on the same bandwagon, and a couple dozen GoFundMe’s have been set up for McCabe.

I’m at a loss for who could possibly be donating to these campaigns, but I’m assuming most of them must simply be scams. Does anyone expect the people who created these GoFundMes to actually write McCabe a check?

Share this is McCabe should take what he has with a smile and stop trying to get more out of the American people!
