If Senator Al Franken doesn’t step down after this, the Democrats lose all their moral authority to criticize Republicans.

For weeks, we’ve heard stories about Al Franken groped, kissed, ogled, and otherwise preyed on vulnerable women. The storm of accusations was kicked off by radio host Leeann Tweeden, who alleged that Franken kissed her without consent during a USO tour.

Politico just dropped another bombshell accusation against Franken. This time, it comes from a congressional aide who was with Franken during the taping of his radio show back in 2006.

From the report: “The aide, whose name POLITICO is withholding to protect her identity, said Franken (D-Minn.) pursued her after her boss had left the studio. She said she was gathering her belongings to follow her boss out of the room. When she turned around, Franken was in her face.”

Just listen to his words. Franken is a predator, plain and simple:

The former staffer ducked to avoid Franken’s lips. As she hastily left the room, she said, Franken told her: “It’s my right as an entertainer.”

“He was between me and the door and he was coming at me to kiss me. It was very quick and I think my brain had to work really hard to be like ‘Wait, what is happening?’ But I knew whatever was happening was not right and I ducked,” the aide said in an interview. “I was really startled by it and I just sort of booked it towards the door and he said, ‘It’s my right as an entertainer.’”

Columnist Matt Lewis snarked appropriately, referencing Donald Trump’s famous line:

I guess when you’re a liberal, they let you do it as well. That’s the message we’ve been getting from the Democrats’ limitless supply of perverts.

Let’s put it like this: If Democrats can cite multiple accusers in calling Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore a predator and pedophile, then Republicans are totally fair in citing multiple individuals who claim Franken touched them inappropriately.

It’s time for Franken to step down – NOW!
