Trey Gowdy Takes on the Obama Wiretapping Scandal, Slams Media

Conservative hero Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), a former prosecutor, went on Fox News to discuss the Russia probe and the surveillance conducted by the Obama administration on President Trump.

Gowdy (below) draws a clear line about the difference between how Congress works and how the liberal, mainstream media operates.

Congress has vast investigative powers to expose the truth, and they can’t rely on questionable, anonymous sources.

This is powerful!

“I think Congress is much better equipped to do investigations than journalists are,” the South Carolina Republican told host bill Hemmer. “We can’t rely on anonymous sources. We can’t rely on leaked information, classified information which in and of itself is a crime.”

“So with all due respect, to the reporters, I can’t cross-examine anonymous sources. You can’t even directly examine them. It’s a lot easier to write a news piece than it is to conduct an investigation.”

Gowdy went onto explain that while he hasn’t seen evidence of the surveillance of Trump Tower yet, the House intelligence committee is already getting to the bottom of this explosive scandal. Gowdy went on to note that he has seen zero evidence of coordination between Team Trump and Russia.

Gowdy’s legal expertise and investigative skills will get to the bottom of the shameful corruption of the Obama administration.
