On Thursday, the Center For Disease Control (CDC) made the announcement nearly every American has been waiting for: people who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 no longer need to wear a mask either indoors or out, or practice social distancing.
CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said on Thursday afternoon, “We have all longed for this moment when we can get back to some sense of normalcy.”
President Joe Biden also seemed happy to announce that one of the most burdensome requirements on Americans due to the Coronavirus pandemic, wearing a face mask, was going away.

But if you thought leftists and Democrats would be happy with the announcement, you would be wrong. Very, very wrong.

The Left Now Questions “The Experts”
This is all extremely confusing to the Left. For over a year now, we have heard nothing but “trust the science!” and “trust the experts!” And dutifully, they believed just that, and branded anyone who thought differently a “science denier.”
Now, if you look at the replies to the tweets from the White House and Joe Biden, you’ll find hundreds, perhaps thousands of Democrats vowing to ignore the experts and the science.
Just take a quick gander:

Confusion Running Amok
The new CDC guidelines seem to be putting the Left in a position of having to alter their new lifestyle. The problem is that, they didn’t want to alter their lifestyle.
Im still wearing a mask indoors. And I will probably wear a mask when flying for the rest of my life. It has not been any big inconvenience for me to wear one, and there are plenty of viruses always spreading that I would like to avoid.

The Left’s ‘New Normal’
This whole idea of freedom makes lefties very uncomfortable. The rest of us are just going to have to give them some time to adjust to life being free of things like shaming others into wearing a mask.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow perhaps accidentally explained the entire worldview of half of our countrymen:
“I feel like I’m going to have to rewire myself so that when I see someone out in the world who’s not wearing a mask, I don’t instantly think, ‘You are a threat, “Or you are selfish or you are a Covid denier and you definitely haven’t been vaccinated. I mean, we’re going to have to rewire the way that we look at each other.”

So, to sum up, we are once again free to question the experts!
This is foolhardy advice. Even vaccinated you can still get sick. Not enough people are vaccinated. I no longer trust you or the CDC. The economy is not more important than lives. Why don’t you incentivize people getting vaccinated in order to make more people fall in line?
