Rep. Adam Kinzinger Shares Hateful Messages He’s Received Since Alexandria Shooting

It looks like the liberal unity tour has already come to an end.

Despite the ‘kumbaya’ displays and the calls for civility, anti-Republican sentiment remains at a peak level according to Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).

Kinzinger shared some of the vile messages he received after the left-wing terrorist attack on a Congressional baseball diamond earlier this month.

The messages are pretty distressing.

Some messages wished that Kinzinger had been on second base instead of Steve Scalise, who was critically wounded during the attack. Others were more straight and to the point, saying “YOU DESERVE TO SUFFER AND DIE!”

All were reprehensible.

Via the Hill:

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) on Tuesday shared some of the “hateful” messages he said he has received in the days since last week’s shooting at a GOP baseball practice in Alexandria, Va., and pleaded with his followers to end the verbal attacks.

“Below are just a few of the hateful, vitriolic messages I received AFTER the #AlexandriaShooting,” Kinzinger wrote in a Facebook post. “I know this is not the worst of it, and that I’ll get even more comments on this post itself, but it’s shocking and disturbing nonetheless.”

Messages include one that reads “too bad you weren’t on second base,” a reference to where House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) was practicing when he was shot.

Kinzinger renewed the call for more civil discourse, vowing himself to commit to changing his tone.

“I am committed to changing my tone and will encourage others in debate to disagree without being disagreeable,” he wrote.

Democrats and their supporters simply don’t want to change their tone, no matter who they may inspire to violence with their words.

Within hours of the horrific attack on Scalise and other Republicans, Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) received a threatening e-mail which warned, “One down, 216 to go…”

And before you could blink, Nancy Pelosi was railing against Republicans, saying “how dare they” think that they are victims.

Now Kinzinger.

When is that unity tour going to start exactly?
