6 Things Trump Must Do To Win The Final Debate – And The Election

The 2020 presidential election may come down to tonight’s debate performance where Democrat nominee Joe Biden and President Trump will square off in Nashville, moderated by NBC’s Kristen Welker.

Polls suggest Biden holds a decent lead nationally and in some key battleground state as we sit 12 days away from the election.

Trump is holding out re-election hopes based on internal polling, and at least one pollster seems to think this election is tracking almost identically to 2106.

Most agree that President Trump needs to establish a much better tone than the first debate where he may have been developing symptoms of illness and had to combat both Biden and moderator Chris Wallace.

But the President has his work cut out for him tonight. Here are six things he must do to win the debate and propel himself to victory in the election.

Address Hunter’s Laptop

Pollster Frank Luntz recently blasted the Trump campaign for focusing on Hunter Biden leading up to election day.

“Nobody cares about Hunter Biden … why is [Trump] spending all his time on him?” Luntz asked.

“Hunter Biden does not help put food on the table. Hunter Biden does not help anyone get a job.”

What the Hunter Biden story does, however, is reveal potential corruption involving his father that people need to know about.

The media has been covering for Biden on this story, which involves emails first published in the New York Post.

The Post claimed that the emails show that Biden’s son may have introduced the then-vice president to a top executive at the Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings.

And explosive details get revealed on a nearly daily basis. Fox News is reporting that one of the recipients of the emails has verified its authenticity.

He also claims that a proposed equity split in those messages references “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?”

Speculation leads some to gather that “H” stands for Hunter while the recipient on the other end of the email states: “The reference to ‘the Big Guy’ in the much-publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden.”

Biden has some significant explaining to do and the only way to get him to address it is if Trump mentions it at the debate. The media will never hold his feet to the fire, and neither will the moderator.

Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller suggested the President will find a way to mention the growing controversy.

Highlight Biden’s Ties to China

This one kind of ties into the burgeoning Hunter Biden scandal.

The same email recipient has flat-out claimed the Biden used their influence to make millions.

“I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business,” he said. “I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, because it wasn’t just Hunter’s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.”

“The Biden family aggressively leveraged the Biden family name to make millions of dollars from foreign entities even though some were from communist-controlled China.”

Biden has bragged on the campaign trail how he once told former President Barack Obama that “China is not our problem.”

“I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us,” he said at a rally shortly after he announced his bid for the presidency.

“China is going to eat our lunch?” Biden scoffed. “Come on, man.”

It’s starting to become clear why he is so friendly with Communist China. Trump needs to find a way to reveal this to the American people.

GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel addressed that fact in an interview on Fox News:

“I think that the fact that the Vice President of the United States as he had jurisdiction over two countries while his son was receiving $50,000 a month from Burisma and Ukraine and also was receiving money from China for business dealings and now looks like he was negotiating with a Chinese energy company not just for money for himself but money for his dad, who was the Vice President of the United States. These are real issues. This laptop is something that should be brought up by the moderator. President Trump shouldn’t have to bring it up. The media should. Why are they protecting Joe Biden?”

Must Overcome the Moderator’s Bias

One of the strong points of President Trump’s first debate performance was his ability to highlight the bias he had to combat from Chris Wallace.

“Well, first of all, I guess I’m debating you, not him,” Trump fired off at Wallace in a viral moment. “But that’s okay. I’m not surprised.”

Following this moment, the second debate moderator, Steve Scully, a former intern for Biden, was outed for attempting to send private messages to never-Trumper Anthony Scaramucci.

Scully later claimed his account was hacked, which was proven to be a lie and he was subsequently suspended from CSPAN.

The second debate was eventually scrapped.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany has already slammed Kristen Welker of NBC News for providing “some cover” for Joe Biden in the debate by ditching foreign policy as a topic, a move that would help the Democrat avoid the aforementioned Hunter Biden scandal.

President Trump has called Welker “terrible” while pointing out her baked in bias.

“She is totally partisan; her father and mother are big supporters of Joe Biden for a long time,” he claimed. “They’re supporters of the Democrat Party, and she deleted her entire account.”

Be the Happy Warrior

There’s little doubt that the President is more at home when he’s holding campaign rallies amongst his supporters.

He even showed signs of his charm and sense of humor in last week’s town hall.

The Political Insider’s Christopher Barron writes that Trump “was the happy warrior, smooth and polished, who deftly handled an aggressive line of questioning, constant interruptions, and questionable fact-checking.”

The President will need to channel some of that charm and use it to A) deflect the bias from Welker and B) eradicate the caricature of him being mean and nasty that the media has cultivated over the past four years, drawing voters in to the man we know as a great American and patriot.

“Trump was so charming and affable that a town hall participant, who was preparing to ask a tough question on immigration, actually commented on how great the President’s smile was!” Barron recalled.

Must Remind America of the Economy Prior to the Pandemic

It is nearly imperative that President Trump remind voters of the roaring economy he helped cultivate prior to the pandemic coming to America, and prior to shutdowns imposed predominantly in Democrat states.

A recent Wall Street Journal analysis notes that jobs growth prior to the pandemic was tremendous thanks in part to the President’s tax cuts, which Biden has vowed to reverse, and massive deregulation unchaining American businesses.

Even after the pandemic, job growth has been “better than expected.”

They also note the incredible gains made by minorities under the Trump administration.

“During Trump’s first three years in office, median household incomes grew, inequality diminished, and the poverty rate among Black people fell below 20% for the first time in post-World War II records,” they reported.

“The unemployment rate among Black people went under 6% for the first time in records going back to 1972.”

CBS reporter Major Garrett declared just before the new year that even Barack Obama would be envious of President Trump’s record with minorities.

“That is a legacy on the agenda side that almost any president after three years would want to claim, particularly President Obama,” Garrett said.

Highlight His Accomplishments on Foreign Policy

It’s not hard to figure out why the debate commission and/or NBC removed foreign policy from the list of debate topics tonight.

Biden would have to discuss his disastrous foreign policies which are too numerous to list. Here are a few:

  • After September 11th, Biden suggested sending $200 million to Iran, “no strings attached,” as a gesture of good faith.
  • Before the invasion of Iraq, Joe Biden went to Putin to ask him to support the invasion in exchange for oil profits if Russia sided with the United States.
  • Biden was the Obama Admin’s “public salesman” for the flawed Iranian nuclear deal which did not eliminate Iran’s nuclear threat nor curbed its destabilizing behaviors.
  • It was the Obama-Biden administration that knowingly relieved Iran of $150 billion in sanctions despite conceding that some of the money would fund terrorism.
  • Biden pushed for the Obama admin’s disastrous Russia “reset” policy and personally sought to cozy up to Putin.
  • In between his mistakes, Biden was forced to make apology tours in real-time.
  • The Obama-Biden intervention in Libya was later described by President Obama himself as a “s*** show.”

President Trump, by contrast, has been a calming force for peace throughout the world.

Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament who nominated Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize, said the President has played a “key role in facilitating contact between conflicting parties and … creating new dynamics in other protracted conflicts.”

He cites as examples “the Kashmir border dispute between India and Pakistan, and the conflict between North and South Korea, as well as dealing with the nuclear capabilities of North Korea.”

Trump has been nominated three times for the Peace Prize, the third being by Australian law professor David Flint who praised the “Trump Doctrine” against endless wars.

The President also managed to broker multiple, previously unheard of peace deals in the Middle East.

Conclusion

It won’t be easy, but each of these topics must be brought up, each of these reminders to the American people what Trump has accomplished and Biden has done to harm America, each of these battles against the Democrat party and the media.

If the President is able to do that with some measure of success tonight, you will see a tightening of the polls just before election day, exactly as you saw in 2016.
