5 Reasons To Be Thankful That Trump Defeated Hillary In 2016

Thanksgiving is a good time to reflect on the things you and your family are appreciative of in your lives. America is no different as a whole.

America is better for having Trump as President the past four years, and for that, we can certainly be thankful for this holiday.

While it would be easy to simply say ‘Thank God America was led by Donald Trump the last four years as opposed to Hillary Clinton’ and leave it at that, there’s a little more substance to analyze.

Here are five reasons our nation should be grateful that President Trump defeated Clinton in 2016 and helped to make America better these past four years.

Trump Reshaped the Federal Judiciary to Make America Better

President Trump named three Supreme Court Justices during his term – Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett.

He appointed 220 judges overall to the federal bench, all of which are lifetime appointments.

The Washington Post reports that nearly a year ago, a full 25% of all US circuit court judges were Trump nominees.

As Business Insider writes, Trump’s “presidency will continue to have an influence on the direction of the US because of the sheer number of conservative federal judges he’s installed” despite his apparent election loss.

Imagine if it was Hillary who selected three Supreme Court justices or the hundreds of other federal judges.

America might never have recovered.

Peace In Our Time Under Trump Makes America Better

In late October, President Trump announced a new peace deal in the Middle East that would normalize ties between Israel and Sudan.

It was his third such effort, the previous two led to multiple Nobel Peace Prize nominations.

You might not have known about them, because the media barely covered any news that would cast the President in a positive light.

Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament who nominated Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize, said the President has played a “key role in facilitating contact between conflicting parties and … creating new dynamics in other protracted conflicts.”

He cites as further examples “the Kashmir border dispute between India and Pakistan, and the conflict between North and South Korea, as well as dealing with the nuclear capabilities of North Korea.”

Australian law professor David Flint, who also nominated the President, praised the “Trump Doctrine” against endless wars.

None of these peace deals would have been possible under a Clinton administration.

We know this by using close ally John Kerry’s very own words and foreign policy beliefs.

“There will be no separate peace between Israel and the Arab world,” Kerry angrily announced. “I want to make that very clear with all of you.”

“I’ve heard several prominent politicians in Israel sometimes saying, ‘Well, the Arab world is in a different place now. We just have to reach out to them. We can work some things with the Arab world and we’ll deal with the Palestinians,’” he continued. “No. No, no, and no.”

Trump proved him wrong.

Reintroducing the Republican Party to the Black Community

Prior to the media-driven pandemic hysteria, President Trump had delivered historically low unemployment rates and prosperity to minority communities.

CBS reporter Major Garrett declared just before the new year that even Barack Obama would be envious of President Trump’s record with minorities.

“That is a legacy on the agenda side that almost any president after three years would want to claim, particularly President Obama,” Garrett said.

President Trump listed his numerous accomplishment for the black community during the debates.

“Criminal justice reform, prison reform, Opportunity Zones with Tim Scott, a great Senator from South Carolina,” Trump said.

“He came in with this incredible idea for Opportunity Zones. It’s one of the most successful programs. People don’t talk about it,” lamented the President.

 CNN analyst Van Jones recently said Trump “doesn’t get enough credit” for the “good stuff he has done.”

“I think it’s really unfortunate because Donald Trump, and I get beat up by liberals every time I say it but I keep saying it, he has done good stuff for the Black community,” Jones said.

“Opportunity Zone stuff, Black college stuff, I worked with him on criminal stuff, I saw Donald Trump have African American people, formally incarcerated, in the White House, embraced them, treated them well,” he continued.

“There is a side to Donald Trump that I think he does not get enough credit for.”

The voters knew it, however. The President made gains in nearly every minority group in 2020.

Establishment of the Space Force

The Space Force was the source of some mockery for the left-wing media for a time, but years from now it is unlikely the latest branch of the US military will remain as such.

The Space Force – established via a $738 billion defense spending bill just a few days before Christmas – is the first new military service since the US Air Force was created in 1947.

General John Raymond, chief of space operations for the U.S. Space Force said the branch is “nationally critical.”

“We are elevating space commensurate with its importance to our national security and the security of our allies and partners,” he explained.

Trump gave the Space Force a shoutout during a tweetstorm of reasons you should have voted for a second term.

Without Trump, there would be no such thing as the Space Force for decades to come.

Let’s face it, Hillary couldn’t be bothered with providing security to Benghazi, she sure as hell wouldn’t be looking to defend America on a new frontier.

On this matter it is clear, Trump beating Hillary made the military in America better.

Anybody Remember ISIS?

Does anybody remember what it was like living under an Obama administration that dismissed the ISIS terror group as a JV team?

The perpetual fear of hearing about the next terrorist attack – whether carried out here or abroad?

In fact, Barack Obama insisted to the American people that ISIS had been “contained” within 24 hours of a major attack in Paris that killed over 120 people.

By contrast, the ISIS caliphate was defeated in March of 2019. Where it had once been allowed to expand, they had tasted defeat at the hands of President Trump.

In late October, a US raid led to the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Baghdadi was the world’s most wanted terrorist up to that point and his death represented a major blow to the terrorist group. 

“Last night, the United States brought the world’s No. 1 terrorist leader to justice,” Trump said at the time. “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead.”

“Capturing or killing him has been the top national security priority of my administration,” he added.

It is clear in reviewing the list above that President Trump followed through on the core promise to the American people – to make America great again.

That alone is a rebuke of what this nation would have become under Hillary.
