Instead of watching or attending Sunday night’s disastrous Oscars, President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended the Governor’s Ball to honor America’s governors. But more importantly, Trump was there to salute the men and women who serve in the U.S. military.
The room was packed, and the Army Chorus was honored while the Marine Band played elegant jazz inside the foyer of the White House.
Instead of listening to insults from Jimmy Kimmel or a speech from Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis about how actors “are the only profession that celebrates what it means to live a life”… whatever that means… Trump was celebrating those who sacrifice everything for our liberties.
In fact, military service is the ultimate way to celebrate life and American values. Our troops deserve our support.
Here is where President Trump was during the Oscars… Spending time with the Army Chorus inside the White House. These aren’t pretend heroes on a screen… These heroes are real!
This is an important reminder about just where President Trump’s priorities are, and why we shouldn’t worry what Hollywood thinks. Entertainers are paid millions to distract us on screen with compelling movies and television shows. But the military protects our way of life and they keep our families safe.
