Watch: Tucker Carlson Slams Washington Post Reporter – You’re a ‘Political Hack’

Any liberal mainstream media reporter thinking of going on Tucker Carlson’s highly-rated show may think twice after seeing the footage below. Carlson brought Washington Post reporter Erik Wemple on his show, and the interview quickly became the buzz of social media.

The Fox News host took Wemple, a ‘media critic’ for the Post, to task for not covering his own newspaper’s shortcomings. According to Carlson, which Wemple doesn’t refute, the Post runs direct, paid Kremlin propaganda that is designed to look like news, but they call it “native advertising.”

In December, the Post ran a sensational story that Russian hackers had infiltrated the U.S. power grid through a Vermont utility company. The story later proved to be completely bogus, and the newspaper had to retract the entire premise. Tucker didn’t forget!

“You never bothered to talk to your own reporters, [who are] presumably in the same newsroom that you’re in,” Carlson charged.

That’s when the interview really started getting heated.

Carlson asked about the “native advertisements” paid for by the governments of Russia and China, one such example can be seen here. When Carlson pointed out that these are merely “paid propaganda from the Russian government,” Wemple couldn’t object.

By this point, Tucker couldn’t take it anymore.

“I see you as a political hack acting out his political beliefs on paper with the cover of media criticism,” Carlson said, “and everyone who reads you knows that.”

Ouch!

You have to see this:

Via Fox News:

Tucker Carlson confronted Washington Post media critic Erik Wemple over his coverage of his employer, asking “Why don’t you cover your own paper’s shortcomings?”

“In case after case,” Carlson charged, “you’ve failed to cover your own paper running fake or misleading things.”

Carlson also questioned Wemple over the Post’s practice of carrying so-called “native advertisements” paid for by the Russian and Chinese government, among others.

Later in the interview, Carlson accused Wemple of “single-mindedly [pursuing] your political agenda.”

“I see you as a political hack acting out his political beliefs on paper with the cover of media criticism,” Carlson said, “and everyone who reads you knows that.

Carlson said he’s glad Wemple is given the freedom to critique other media outlets, but “you should just use it to do something useful like reporting on Russian propaganda in your own paper.”

Social media reaction to Wemple being undressed as a political hack was swift:

Honestly, we’re not certain how Tucker manages to get these liberal guests booked on his show in the first place, when they are consistently eviscerated by the host.

Carlson ended by acknowledging his own destruction of Wemple, “I’m starting to feel bad for you.”

No wonder his ratings are so high. Finally, somebody is holding the liberal media accountable.
