FLASHBACK: Watch Trump’s WWE “Battle of the Billionaires”

Donald Trump has set a number of records in taking office as President. He’s the richest president in history, the oldest person to be elected to the presidency, and the first President to enjoy a position in the WWE Hall of Fame.

While then being best known as the host of The Apprentice, he enjoyed a story-line on a different kind of “reality” show: professional wrestling. Owed to his friendship with WWE founder Vince McMahon, the two stared in a “Battle of the Billionaires” against one another in the show.

The rules were simple: The two would meet in March of 2007 to each pick a wrestler to act as their representative. Whoever’s wrestler representing them won would have the right to shave the head of the opposing billionaire. After the presser, the two were about to shake hands when McMahon faked him out and then proceeded to fiddle with Trump’s tie…. leading to a quick slap to the face (and for those unaware – yes, it’s scripted/fake).

When the fight later did happen, The Donald emerged victorious, leading to a classic moment in WWE history:

Trump certainly did take down his opponents in the Republican primary like it was a professional wrestling match. They’re all lucky he didn’t have any chairs handy.
