The left just doesn’t understand President Donald J. Trump and why millions of hard-working Americans voted for him instead of Democrat Hillary Clinton. To liberals, President Trump is foreign to them, but he represents Americans all across this great country who don’t live in New York, Washington, D.C., or Los Angeles.
As such, the liberal media failed to see the movement behind Donald Trump’s candidacy that swept him into the White House, and the left still doesn’t understand why he is so popular. One of the president’s biggest campaign promises was to end the flood of illegal immigrants entering our country.
This perfectly explains the real reason why conservatives supported Donald Trump, and ending illegal immigration is at the top of the list.
Throughout the 2016 campaign, Trump pledged to crackdown on illegal immigration, build a wall along our southern border, and give our Border Patrol the tools it needs to keep us safe. As far back as August of 2015, Trump laid out 5 key points on immigration that he would implement when elected.
After the election, President Trump followed through on that campaign promise, signing several executive orders fulfilling his pledge to end illegal immigration once and for all. And while the liberal media attacks Trump for wanting to enforce America’s immigration law, even Barack Obama in 2014 stressed the need to stop illegal immigrants from entering this country.
For all the attacks on President Trump, his promise to end illegal immigration appears to be working, as a new report from America’s border Patrol shows that illegal immigration dropped 27% from December to January and dropped 40% from January to February. This is why conservatives support President Trump: statistics like this showing that his promise to stop illegal immigration is working.
As Democrats continue to whine about President Trump’s illegal immigration promises, the American people, and conservatives, realize that the president wants to keep our country safe.
