Tim Tebow Blasts ‘Magical’ Walk-Off Home Run

In what USA Today describes as more evidence of “Tebow Magic,” Tim Tebow blasted a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Class A St. Lucie Mets.

Tebow has been on a tear since joining the club, but this new ‘magical’ moment has to be the highlight of the former NFL quarterback’s attempt to make a major league club.

He sent an 0-1 pitch over the left field wall, giving his team a 5-4 comeback victory.

Tim Tebow’s one-out, solo homer in the bottom of the seventh inning sent the Class A St. Lucie Mets to a dramatic 5-4 comeback victory Thursday night over the Daytona Tortugas.

Tebow belted the 0-1 fastball from Cincinnati Reds minor leaguer Austin Orewiler over the left-field fence, sending a crowd of 2,667 at First Data Field into a frenzy. He has hit safely in 11 straight games.

Tebow was greeted by a Gatorade shower at home plate from his teammates.

He is batting .327 with 10 RBIs since being called up to a higher skill level league. The home run puts him at the top of a list of notable two-sport stars who tried their hand at baseball.

Naturally, the media couldn’t help but take a shot at Tebow’s religion in reporting his heroics …

While liberals mock, the rest of the sports world is loving the Tim Tebow story.

Other players at this past week’s All-Star game are overwhelmingly supportive of Tebow’s efforts to make the big leagues.

“I think Tim Tebow’s a great guy,” said Colorado Rockies center fielder Charlie Blackmon. “I don’t really know him, but I think it’s a great story.”

Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Wade Davis simply cheered, “Get some, Tebow!”

The walk-off home run is yet another moment in the pro-life, pro-Christian athlete’s storied career that seems to defy logic.

Tebow switched sports after having an incredibly successful run as a Heisman winning college quarterback, but an NFL career which saw a lot of ups and downs.

He’s a favorite of our readers, a man who perpetually leads by example through a strong Christian faith. That’s why liberals can’t stand him.

Just before embarking on his baseball journey, Tebow, a man considered ‘polarizing’ by the media, demonstrated his Christian faith and charity by taking the time to visit sick kids at the Wolfson Children’s Hospital. One particular fan, his bed decked out in Florida Gators gear (where Tebow played), was overwhelmed that the famous quarterback would take the time to visit him.

He had a tough time speaking and couldn’t hold back the tears.
