This was truly an epic take down of the media and liberals who support sanctuary cities.
Thomas Homan, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, addressed reporters in the WH briefing room, prior to a press conference by Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
With the backdrop of 10 dead illegal aliens in the back of a truck in a San Antonio Walmart parking lot, Homan explained why so-called ‘sanctuary cities’ help to create such horrific incidents.
Illegal immigrants are being told if they’re smuggled into these cities, they’ll be free from harm. Trying to do so however, can lead to tragedies like San Antonio, as well as a host of other sad stories relayed by Homan.
He also addressed this ridiculous notion that illegals commit fewer crimes than regular Americans, reminding the press that being here illegally is a crime itself. The crime rate for illegal immigrants is therefore 100%.
“It’s not OK to be here,” Homan explained.

The top immigration officer in the US on Thursday slammed so-called “sanctuary cities” as sending the wrong message to smugglers and immigrants seeking to cross the border illegally.
“Sanctuary cities, that’s an alien smuggler’s best friend — ‘We’ll get you to sanctuary city,'” Thomas Homan, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said during a White House press briefing. “Sanctuary cities not only endanger public safety, they endanger our officers.”

The US, Homan added, needs to stop sending the message to people in Mexico and Central America that if they are able to enter illegally, they’ll be left alone so long as they stay low.
“It’s not OK to be here,” Homan said. “If you’re in a sanctuary city, that’s where we send additional resources.”

Earlier this month, Homan issued a warning to sanctuary cities that more agents are coming and they’re cracking down on illegal immigrants.
“We’re going to enforce the laws on the books without apology,” Homan announced. “You’re going to be held accountable.”
It is truly refreshing to see someone in charge of ICE enforcing the laws, as opposed to eight years under Obama in which the agency was told to look the other way as illegals poured into the country.
