A group of illegal immigrant protesters stormed the State Capitol in Texas to protest the state’s new bill on so-called ‘sanctuary’ cities.
They did this on Memorial Day, a day in which we are supposed to honor fallen soldiers for the sacrifices they made for our country.
Instead, the protesters disrespected the memories of those men and women by holding a protest to support the criminal activity of illegal immigrants.

Republican state Rep. Matt Rinaldi wasn’t about to stand for it. He noticed many in the crowd were holding “I am illegal and here to stay signs,” so he reported them to ICE!
Via The Hill:
Several members said that Rinaldi told a group of Hispanic lawmakers that he had called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials on the protesters.
“He came up to us and said, ‘I’m glad I just called ICE to have all these people deported,’” state Rep. Cesar Blanco (D-El Paso) told the Texas Tribune.
Rinaldi said he called ICE because he didn’t know how to handle the large protest.
“A lot of people had signs that said, ‘We are illegal and here to stay,'” he told the paper. “And we called law enforcement trying to incentivize them to leave the House. They were disrupting. They were breaking the law.”
Rinaldi’s Democrat colleagues didn’t take kindly to the move, starting a shoving match on the Capitol floor.

In a statement on Facebook, Rinaldi claimed that Democrat Rep. Alfonso Nevarez told him he would ‘get me on the way to my car.’
Rinaldi said, “I made it clear that if he attempted to, in his words, ‘get me,’ I would shoot him in self defense.”

Other Democrats claim that Rinaldi told Nevarez that he would “put a bullet” in his head.
Here’s another video of the shoving match:
The protest is over a bill that bans ‘sanctuary’ cities in the state of Texas. SB4, signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott, which bans policies of harboring, aiding, and abetting criminal illegal immigrants. It also imposes fines and jail time for sheriffs and police chiefs who refuse to follow the law.
