For the past several days, Democrats and their allies in the media have been viciously attacking President Donald Trump after he issued an Executive Order restricting travel from countries with ties to terrorism.
From falsely claiming that President Trump’s order was a “Muslim ban” to failing to acknowledge that every single country on the travel ban came from the Obama administration, the left has been in full-out attack mode.
One of the common critiques made by the left is that refugees coming to the United States pose no threat to this country, but a recent report reveals just how dangerous the seven countries included in the president’s travel ban truly are.
In fact, since 2014, at least 17 alleged terrorists came from the 7 countries listed on the president’s travel ban: Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. While the left has complained that the wrong countries were included on Trump’s travel ban, 17 individuals from these countries were identified as terrorists from March 2014-June 2016.

[T]he Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest used publicly available information and identified at least 17 individuals from these seven nations that from March 2014 to June 2016 were implicated in terrorism. Eight of these are terrorists convicted for crimes mainly related to giving material support or attempting to give material support to ISIS.

Since June 2016, men from these seven countries temporarily banned by Trump have continued to cause terror. At least one individual was indicted for terrorism charges from a country temporarily banned from entering the U.S., and at least one was convicted of terrorism charges.
There have also been two perpetrators of stabbings that left a total 21 individuals injured. These stabbings were both committed by Somalian refugees, one was at a mall in St. Cloud, Minn., the other was at Ohio State University.
Over the weekend, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus reiterated that President Trump’s Executive Order was not a “Muslim ban” and was merely a 3 month halt on travel from countries with terrorist ties. He suggested that during the 90-day review, the White House could add additional countries to the list if the administration feels they are not adequately fighting terrorism.
Congressman Chris Collins is one of the many members of Congress to come out in support of the travel ban, saying the president is putting American safety front and center:

Despite the left’s hand-wringing, President Trump’s travel ban makes sense given that the 7 countries included have a long history of terrorism ties. There is no reason to put Americans in danger in the name of political correctness.
