GOP Rep Steve King Warns – Paul Ryan Does NOT Support Trump’s Border Wall

Fresh off Republican efforts to thwart any hope of a repeal and replace bill for Obamacare, Rep. Steve King is warning that Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is not supportive of another key campaign promise of President Trump – building the border wall.

“I don’t believe the Speaker is for the wall,” King told Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “He’s way short of the enthusiasm that I have for the wall.”

King did quantify that by saying Ryan has said that “we need to give the president the resources he needs to secure the border.”

Just, not so much the resources we need to build the d*** wall.

Take a look at King’s warning …

When King speaks of enthusiasm for the wall, he truly means ‘enthusiasm.’

The representative suggested using federal funding for Planned Parenthood and food stamps to help pay for the southern border wall, something that has Democrats going apoplectic.

Back in May, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh excoriated Republicans for a budget bill that continued to fund Planned Parenthood, but failed to include money for Trump’s border wall, an absolute staple of his presidential campaign.

“Why vote Republican?” Limbaugh asked. “What is the point of voting Republican if the Democrats are gonna continue to win practically 95% of their objectives?”

An even more urgent question considering King’s statement that Ryan will not support the border wall. Why vote Republican if Ryan is going to acquiesce to 95% of Democrat wishes?

“The wall’s not a perfect solution,” Carlson said to King, “But it’s a permanent step.”

“Walls don’t have prosecutorial discretion,” King added.

Which is why it’s so important to build it – something the American voters have demanded.
