NBC’s Seth Meyers Has Insulting Ivanka Trump Joke, Audience is Silent

It’s no secret that NBC’s late-night host Seth Meyers is a far-left anti-Trump zealot, who uses his nightly television platform to mock and attack the President and the President’s supporters every chance he gets.

While the liberals at NBC may find Meyers brand of liberal humor funny, it appears that his attacks on the Trump family may have finally gone too far.

During Monday night’s Council of Fashion Designers of America award show, Meyers used his hosting gig to take several swipes at Ivanka and First Lady Melania Trump, but the audience was having none of it.

From Daily Mail:

But the room stayed quiet as Meyers tried a fashioned-themed political joke, saying: ‘Abercrombie and Fitch has announced it’s putting itself up for sale. Meanwhile, thanks to Donald Trump, the United States has become a Banana Republic.’

Turning to the presidential coiffure, Meyers found more success. ‘It’s harder than ever to separate fashion from politics. First Lady Melania Trump made headlines recently after she decided not to wear a head cover while visiting Saudi Arabia,’ the comedian said.

‘Which was especially shocking, since her husband wears a head covering literally everywhere,’ he added, to laughter an applause. A final joke about the first family fell flat, leaving the room in an awkward silence. Big year for fashion designer Ivanka Trump,’ he said. ‘I’ve heard her clothes are flying off the shelves in Nordstrom.’

One Twitter user captured one of Meyers’ jokes on camera, and it was not funny:

Even in a room full of fellow liberals, Meyers’ anti-Trump jokes fell flat. The NBC comedian’s entire routine these days appears to just be to attack the Trump family, and the American people are sick and tired of it.

When New York elites reject your anti-Trump humor, perhaps its time for you to look for some new material. Despite the humiliating incident for Meyers, don’t expect the NBC host to stop his anti-Trump jokes anytime soon, as he has made it perfectly clear he puts his liberal views ahead of actually making people laugh.
