Acosta Behaves Like Crybaby in White House Press Meeting

Things haven’t been going well for CNN’s press correspondent Jim Acosta.

At Donald Trump’s first press conference following the conclusion of the 2016 presidential election, he famously blasted Acosta as “fake news” after the reporter attempted to interrupt him. Later, Trump changed his description of CNN to “very fake news.”

This time, Acosta is clashing with White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. Acosta has been whining about his treatment by the Trump Administration for quite some time – though the video released today by Project Veritas should be enough proof that the criticism CNN faced from Trump was justified. For anyone who hasn’t seen the video from PV yet, they captured a veteran CNN producer on camera admitting that the reporting on a link between Trump and Russia is “bulls**t,” and that it’s all for ratings.

At Monday’s off-camera briefing, Acosta had a hissy fit about the off-camera status, berating Press Secretary Sean Spicer and interrupting him repeatedly.

When Acosta accosted Spicer, talking over another reporter, Spicer said: “There’s no camera on, Jim.”

That set Acosta off. “Maybe we should turn the cameras on, Sean. Why don’t we turn the cameras on? Why don’t we turn the cameras on? Why not turn the cameras on?”

Spicer took another question, but Acosta persisted.

“Why are the cameras off, Sean? Why did you turn them off?”

Then Acosta went bigger. “You are a taxpayer-fund spokesman for the United States government.”

“Some days we’ll have it, some days we won’t,” Spicer said.

Could this be any more annoying?

Acosta really did behave like a child, and Spicer was right to ignore him.
