Meeting Between Congressman Rohrabacher and Assange May Prove DNC Wasn’t Hacked by Russians

A meeting between California Rep. Dana Rohrabacher and Wikileaks founder Julian Assange may ultimately lead to dismissal of the narrative that the Russians hacked the DNC to aide President Trump.

Recently, Rohrabacher met Assange in London where he’s in political exile within the Ecuadorian Embassy.

The congressman didn’t say much except to reiterate that the Wikileaks founder claims the DNC was never hacked by the Russians. Or anyone else for that matter.

Rohrabacher said he’d share information gleaned from the meeting with the President.

Things just don’t add up, and it doesn’t stop there.

Via the Washington Times:

Mr. Rohrabacher said little after the meeting other than that Mr. Assange repeated his denial that the materials he obtained and made public did not come from the Russians, but claimed he had more information about what actually happened that he intended to share with President Trump.

The “common wisdom” in Washington circles is that the Russians were responsible for illegally hacking into the DNC computers during the campaign and leaked the emails thus obtained through WikiLeaks, but recent revelations suggest that there is at least a possibility that the “common wisdom” is dead flat wrong. If it is wrong and can be proven, the charges of “collusion” so dear to Mr. Trump’s opponents could collapse.

The Nation magazine earlier this month published a lengthy report on the conclusions of a number of intelligence analysts who have looked at the available evidence and concluded that it would have been physically impossible for the Russians to have done what Mr. Trump’s critics allege.

This past December, former British Ambassador and another WikiLeaks operative, Craig Murray, tossed a cold wet blanket on the Russian conspiracy theory in regards to leaks at the DNC.

Murray said he had personally met the person who leaked committee and Clinton campaign emails, and they weren’t Russian.

In fact, he pointed a finger directly at a disgruntled worker as the source of their information.

The DNC has responded to the theory that their emails ended up in the lap of Assange via an inside source, dismissing it as conspiracy theory.

“U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded the Russian government hacked the DNC in an attempt to interfere in the election,” they wrote in a statement. “Any suggestion otherwise is false and is just another conspiracy theory like those pushed by Trump and his administration.”

Assange holds the key. Whatever he may have told Rohrabacher just might ultimately squash the entire Russian/Trump collusion story – a conspiracy theory in its own right.

Have you heard the Democrats say much about this over the past few weeks? Why have they seemingly abandoned their collusion baby after all these months?

Time will tell.
