After Robert De Niro Compared Election to 9/11, He Got What he Deserved!

One of the most storied acting careers in all of Hollywood was seriously tarnished after the presidential election, when the beloved actor Robert De Niro sank to a new low, comparing the election of Donald Trump to the terrorist attacks on 9/11 that killed over 3,000 Americans.

In a right and just world, the comments would mark the end of his career. Instead, De Niro will likely be branded a liberal hero in the dark, dank recesses of group-thought that is Hollywood.

Prior to the election, De Niro made his distaste for Trump rather obvious, calling him all manner of names and then declaring he’d like to “punch him in the face.”

It got worse after the election. De Niro claimed he was depressed over Trump’s victory. How depressed? Traumatized to the point where it reminded him of 9/11!

Via Fox News Insider:

Throughout the 2016 campaign, Robert De Niro left no doubt that he’s not a fan of Donald Trump.

The Hollywood legend called Trump “totally nuts” and “blatantly stupid,” arguing that he would take the United States in the wrong direction.

Now, that Trump has won the election, De Niro said he’s “depressed.”

“I feel like I did after 9/11,” De Niro told The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast. “We’ll just see what happens. There will be many, many, many, many, many people watching.”

Truly, truly shameful.

Perhaps nowhere is the shame captured better than the following caller into a national talk radio show based in London, who absolutely shredded De Niro for his comments and said “I don’t think I can watch one of his films again.”

Take a listen …

Via Express UK:

In response to the host’s theory, the caller, known only as Robyn from Birmingham, blasted: “Do you know what else has shocked me is how low the left has actually gone.

“The one person that surprised me the most was Robert De Niro. He said in an interview, which really shocked me, ‘I feel today like I did after 9/11’.

“I thought 3,000 people died from an Islamic terrorist attack and you feel the same after a democratic election, which someone that you didn’t like won – I don’t think I can watch one of his films again.”

Honestly, how could you ever look at him in the same light ever again?

I had considered posting some pictures of De Niro crying over the years in lieu of Trump’s victory, but these statements made things rather serious. It takes someone genuinely sick in the head to compare a democratic election to a terrorist attack that killed thousands of people.

Shame on you, Mr. De Niro.

Comment: Tell us what you think of Robert De Niro now that he’s compared Trump’s victory to 9/11.
