Confirmed: Susan Rice Unmasking Documents Hidden In Obama Library

Materials and documents pertaining to the unmasking of Trump officials done by former National Security Adviser Susan Rice have been hidden under lock and key according to a government watchdog.

Judicial Watch claims that the revelation came by way of a letter from the National Security Council (NSC).

In the letter dated May 23rd, the NSC responded to a request for records made nearly two months earlier saying the “documents from the Obama administration have been transferred to the Barack Obama Presidential Library.

It further states that, “you should be aware that under the Presidential Records Act, Presidential records remain closed to the public for five years after an administration has left office.”

Via Judicial Watch:

Judicial Watch today announced that the National Security Council (NSC) on May 23, 2017, informed it by letter that the materials regarding the unmasking by Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice of “the identities of any U.S. citizens associated with the Trump presidential campaign or transition team” have been removed to the Obama Library.

The NSC will not fulfill an April 4 Judicial Watch request for records regarding information relating to people “who were identified pursuant to intelligence collection activities.”

The agency also informed Judicial Watch that it would not turn over communications with any Intelligence Community member or agency concerning the alleged Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election; the hacking of DNC computers; or the suspected communications between Russia and Trump campaign/transition officials.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton is furious, demanding to find out “when the National Security Council shipped off the records about potential intelligence abuses by Susan Rice and others in the Obama White House to the memory hole of the Obama Presidential Library.”

There just might be a solution, however.

Patrick Howley of Big League Politics reports that “President Trump, Congress, and the courts are able to get records about Susan Rice’s ‘unmasking’ of Trump transition officials.”

Why? Because the Obama Library, in the physical sense, doesn’t actually exist yet. It hasn’t been built! In fact, according to Wikipedia, the planned completion date is sometime in the year 2021.

Howley explains that, “The federal government still owns the records, not the museum, according to the National Archives website” itself.

The documents are thus closed to the public, yes, but “not closed to the current president, Congress, or law enforcement officials who can get the information and make it public themselves.”

Fitton concurs, stating Judicial Watch will continue “considering our legal options” but “we hope that the Special Counsel and Congress also consider their options and get these records.”

We certainly agree. It’s time to unmask the unmaskers in the Obama administration.
