Report: Trump-Hating Maxine Waters Gave $50,000 From Campaign Fund to Daughter for Accrued Debt

Federal Election Commission filings show that California Rep. Maxine Waters paid $50,000 to her daughter in recent months that came directly from the congresswoman’s campaign coffers. The money reportedly went toward debt related to Waters’ re-election.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

Rep. Waters’s committee disbursed two payments to her daughter, Karen, in the amounts of $42,000 and $8,000 during the first quarter, which runs from Jan. 1 to March 31. The $50,000 in payments were made to Karen for running a slate mailer, or endorsement mailer, operation from the campaign and were the most paid out by the committee for any activity throughout the first three months of the year.

Waters’s campaign committee reported $94,000 of debts owed to her daughter in pre-general midterm election filings submitted to the FEC on Oct. 17, 2018. However, this amount shot up $90,000 in a matter of weeks to $183,022.15, the Washington Free Beacon previously reported.

Now, Waters’s campaign reports $182,383 in total debts and obligations after the first quarter and following the recent $50,000 in payments. An overwhelming majority of this amount—$133,022.15—is marked as debt still owed to Karen, who already directly pocketed $108,000 from the campaign during the midterm elections.

The Free Beacon has even more of the gory details. Waters’ campaign could not be reached for comment.

What’s perhaps most astounding about this is that Waters is one of the harshest critics of President Trump in Washington. She has called him every bad name imaginable.

She has even suggested he should be exiled.

She has questioned his patriotism (and that of his supporters):

She has even gone to the extreme of encouraging people to harass the Trump family and his administration.

This is just scratching the surface. Rep. Waters apparently wakes up every day thinking of new ways to insult the president and the millions of Americans who voted for him.

Now it looks like she might be involved with doing one of the most corrupt things you can do in public service. No one should be surprised.

But maybe before she criticizes President Trump again, Maxine Waters might want to look in the mirror.
