Report: Haitian Migrants ‘Hijacked’ Multiple Buses In Attempts To Escape

Multiple reports indicate Haitian migrants have 'hijacked' buses meant to deliver them to processing centers or deportation flights.

Multiple reports indicate Haitian migrants have ‘hijacked’ buses meant to deliver them to processing centers or deportation flights.

The Washington Examiner cites a senior federal law enforcement official who says the migrants have been able to, at least temporarily, overpower the drivers and escape.

“They’ve been basically overpowering the drivers and they’ve actually hijacked a couple of the buses and driven them down the road a little ways and escaped,” the source said.

“This happened multiple times,” they added.

Haitian Migrants Hijack Buses

The same official explained that the detainees are not shackled in any manner when put on the buses, making it relatively easy to take drastic action if they so decide.

“They’re moving the detainees, but they’re not shackled — they’re not restrained in any way. Yesterday some detainees kicked a window out and 22 escaped,” they explained.

The San Antonio Express-News reported on an incident involving two buses Monday – one which involved three migrants making “a fuss” and then escaping, and a second where they “took the bus over and fled.”

“They did break out of the bus, and they did escape,” a second official told the Washington Examiner.

“When they found out they were going to be sent back to Haiti, they took the bus over and they fled,” Brandon Judd, National Border Patrol Council President, told Fox News.

The situation was quickly under control according to law enforcement.

Assaulting Pilots

In yet another incident, Haitian migrants assaulted U.S. pilots and injured multiple ICE officers when their flight arrived in Port-au-Prince.

“The men assaulted the pilots of that plane, who work for a government contractor licensed to fly deportation flights for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, while the families were still on board,” NBC News reported.

“Three ICE officers were also attacked on that plane, each suffering non-life-threatening injuries.”

The injuries may have stemmed from what a separate Washington Examiner report describes as a biting incident.

“Federal assault charges will be brought against two Haitian migrants after they bit federal law enforcement officials on board a deportation flight when the plane was taxiing to the runway,” the Examiner wrote.

An official also noted that these migrants currently being transported aren’t even considered the troublemakers.

“Now they’re going to start doing high-risk escorts,” they said.

The Political Insider reported Wednesday that not all of the Haitian migrants are being deported as the Biden administration has tried to convince the American people.

Multiple officials with direct knowledge of operations have indicated that the illegal immigrants are being released into the United States, with one describing it as being on a “very, very large scale.”

Earlier this week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott requested that the Biden administration declare a federal emergency due to the humanitarian crisis currently engulfing border counties in his state.

Much like their handling of the troop withdrawal in Afghanistan, the White House seems overwhelmed and incompetent when it comes to addressing the crisis at the border.

It’s tragic both for these migrants and the American people.
