Everybody remembers the show Dukes of Hazzard, the ’80s action comedy show known almost as much for the 1969 Dodge Charger named the General Lee, as it was for the main characters, Bo and Luke Duke.
Right?
Maybe not.
One woman went ballistic upon seeing a replica of the General Lee at a car show because it, as we all know, has confederate flags on the roof and the license plate area.
Rather than inquiring about the history of the vehicle or why it might have a controversial symbol on it, the woman did what every slow-witted millenial does – made a scene and filmed it for Facebook.
It’s truly awe-inspiring to watch people who have no idea what they’re looking at insist that they know better than everyone else.

A woman filmed her heated exchange over confederate flags featured on a vintage car at the 32nd annual Highland Creek Heritage Festival.
The car was a replica of the The Dukes of Hazzard television show, but Ybia Anderson, who had her three-year-old son with her, did not seem to get the reference.
Anderson and a friend of the car’s owner shouted at each other until a festival volunteer came over and asked her not to use profanity. She agreed but yelled at him as well. The exchange went on for over four minutes.
Ben Jones, one of the stars of the show as ‘Cooter,’ has argued that the General Lee represented “the values of courage and family and good times.”
“We are not racists,” Jones added. “We despise racism and bigotry. And we think the people who are creating this ‘cultural cleansing’ are the real bigots.”
Fun fact – Jones served four years as a Congressman from 1989 to 1993 as a Democrat!
For those who, like the woman in the above video, are so offended by the Dukes of Hazzard, here is a politically correct version of the show as envisioned by comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy.
John Schneider, the actor who starred as Bo on the real show has said, “The Dukes of Hazzard was and is no more a show seated in racism than Breaking Bad was a show seated in reality.”
Reality – Not exactly a word leftists are in tune with.
Schneider added that the show highlights the “old-fashioned values it promotes, including honesty, courage, chivalry, and rebelliousness.”
Maybe that’s what liberals find so offensive in the first place – not the Confederate flag, but good old-fashioned values.
