Rachel Maddow and her MSNBC show could be in huge trouble after last week’s debacle. If you recall, she tried to hurt President Donald Trump by implying she had a huge bombshell contained in his tax returns.
Maddow told the world she was going to expose Trump, but she totally blew it – accidentally proving that Trump not only paid taxes, he paid more in taxes than Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden.
After that debacle was over, Maddow saw her ratings plummet big league. Americans do not like to have their chains yanked, apparently.
I didn’t think about this until now, but she had to know Trump paid $38 million in taxes before her show went on air. She had to have read the material before she went live, right?

The ratings plummet even included a nearly double digit drop, nine percent, from the previous week.
And among the key demographic of 25 to 54-year-olds, Maddow’s viewership dropped a staggering 54 percent, according to TVNewser, including a 16 percent drop compared to the previous week.
Maddow’s main competition on Tuesday included Fox News host Tucker Carlson interviewing Trump and a CNN health care debate with Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price. She bested CNN, but still lagged behind Fox by more than one million viewers.
Maddow was widely mocked for her segment because it revealed that Trump made $150 million in 2005 and paid $38 million in taxes — equaling a tax rate of 25 percent — which demolished the Democrats’ theory that Trump is a tax evader.
You can fool some of the people some of the time but some people are not going to remain fooled or fools or foolish all of the time!
