Pittsburgh Penguins To Visit White House

The National Hockey League champion Pittsburgh Penguins, following in the tradition of past champion teams, will be visiting the White House.

The NBA champion Golden State Warriors, unlike their hockey equivalent, decided to use their snowflake attitudes to wage war against President Trump. This got them disinvited from the White House by the president.

Fox News reports that the Penguins are pushing back against the anti-Trump narrative in the sports world. The team put out a statement saying they will “respect the institution of the office of the president and the long tradition of championship teams visiting the White House.”

Way to go, Penguins, you are a class act! Most of these players aren’t even Americans and they have more professionalism and respect than the spoiled NFL players who can’t find a better way to protest than to turn their back on the Anthem that represents this great country.

Regardless of how you feel about Trump, this is about people who, instead of using their wealth to improve our country, choose to disrespect the men and women of all colors who have given their lives for the right of free speech.

Don’t forget the whole kneeling business started out as a protest against white cops. Now it has turned into a hatred of Trump.

The Penguins are showing the best way to handle sports, and that’s to separate it from politics.

I’ve been saying for a long time if your children are looking for a role model, there is no better role models than those in the NHL.

As a veteran, it truly just breaks my heart to watch pro-athletes, recent high school athletes, and even a six-grade football team refuse to stand for the flag.

However, with that said, I respect that you have that right to kneel. You just shouldn’t do it. Period.

I must also give a shout out to those players in the NFL and all the other sports that stand for our National Anthem and give it the respect it deserves.
