An Iraqi terrorist who claimed to have participated in attacks that killed American troops was allowed into the country under Obama, then released just before the election in 2016.
Now, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions to investigate how this could have happened.
The Trump administration has issued a temporary travel ban from six countries with ties to terrorism while a more thorough vetting program can be instituted. Iraq was the lone country removed from President Trump’s original order that judicial activists shut down earlier this year.

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions to find out why the terror suspect’s pending arrest was allegedly spiked just over a week before the election. Trump had run on a tough-on-terror platform and had been critical of President Obama’s refugee policy.
“When [Joint Terrorism Task Force] and the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Western District of Texas sought to prosecute this refugee, the local law enforcement and prosecutors allegedly ‘met resistance’ from officials within the National Security Division’s Counter Terrorism section in Washington DC,” Committee chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said in a March 6 letter to U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The ‘resistance’ Johnson is referring to is simply mind-blowing. According to a Fox News report by William Lajeunesse, an attorney in Texas tried to prosecute the refugee for visa fraud but it was squashed by Obama’s Justice Department because “it would make Hillary look bad and confirm what candidate Donald Trump was saying was accurate.”
“Now that Iraqi is gone and they don’t know where he is,” Lajeunesse reported.
Not only did this terrorist slip through the Obama administration’s vetting process, which they kept claiming was good enough, but he was allegedly allowed to escape for political purposes.
Naturally, it now comes down to President Trump having to clean up yet another mess made by the Obama/Clinton teams who willfully turned a blind eye to a man who’s stated goals were to kill Americans.
Unreal.
A recent FBI report that one Department of Homeland Security official described as “alarming” indicates that the FBI is currently investigating hundreds of refugees in the United States for possible links to terrorism.
The President has his work cut out for him.
