Why Obama May Have Gotten Himself Blocked From an Elite Golf Club

President Obama plans to golf quite a bit after his term is up (we know, how will that differ from his time in office), but it might not be at the “very exclusive, high-end club” he had been hoping for.

Woodmont Country Club in Maryland had been planning to allow Obama into their club for free (a savings of $80,000 plus nearly $10,000 annually), but they’re having a change of heart.

Why? The club consists of predominantly Jewish members who are quite displeased with Obama for stabbing our Israeli allies in the back.

Via the New York Post:

President Obama’s clashes with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may cost him a membership at an exclusive golf club, sources said.

Obama is looking to join the elite Woodmont Country Club in Maryland once he becomes a private citizen.

But members of the mostly Jewish club are at each other’s throats over whether to accept the golf-loving president, with many saying he deserves to be snubbed for not blocking an anti-Israel vote at the United Nations, according to the sources.

Obama’s UN decision was followed by a speech by Secretary of State John Kerry that was seen by many in the Jewish community as hostile to Israel.

Woodmont Country Club had been considered the most likely choice for President Obama to fulfill his golf dreams upon retiring from the White House.

“How cool is it that the first African-American president of the United States may well be joining a country club originally established because Jews couldn’t get in anywhere else?” asked Ronald Halber, Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington, D.C.

Now however, it appears he may be banned from the club that proclaimed they were thrilled to offer the President “fun and relaxation.”

Woodmont isn’t exclusively Republican in their membership either, as the Post reports that “there are many prominent Democratic members, a number of whom supported Obama’s campaigns.”

One official at a Washington Jewish organization opined, “Can you imagine how angry I would be if I had paid $80K to have to look at this guy who has done more to damage Israel than any president in American history?”

Imagine how Israel feels.
