Imagine this scene playing out today – At nighttime, buildings across the New York City skyline show respect for a Christian holiday by lighting up to resemble the holy cross.
It’d never happen of course, because A) New York City is run by anti-religion liberals and B) The only people they show respect for are those they can pander to for votes. And Christians just don’t rank very high these days.
That said, an image form a newspaper in 1956 shows just that aforementioned amazing scene playing out along the New York skyline.
It is a scene that would surely make liberal heads explode today – celebrating Easter in NY.

President Trump’s election has ushered in a new era of Christian acceptance that had disappeared over the last several years.
Recent reports have shown that the administration has instituted Bible studies in the White House.
Members of President Trump’s cabinet – sometimes labeled the most evangelical cabinet in history – gather on a weekly basis to learn more about the Bible and God’s word. High-ranking officials attend, and the President himself receives copies of the week’s discussion.
Just last month, Trump spoke of his, and our nation’s roots in worshiping God over government.

While we won’t soon see the NYC skyline lit up like crosses to celebrate Christian holidays, perhaps we’ll see the White House show some sort of religious display this Christmas or Easter.
At the very least, it’s safe to say our new President won’t be setting up any rainbow displays any time soon:
