It’s no secret that the so-called “mainstream media” in America is liberal. Apart from Fox News and various alternative sources of news, America’s corporate media is dominated by liberals who see it as their mission to attack conservatives and promote the Democrat Party at all cost.
The media’s overt liberal bias was on full display throughout the 2016 presidential election, and a majority of voters, 55%, believed the Republican nominee received unfair coverage compared to Hillary Clinton.
But one cable news host, Fox News’ Neil Cavuto, has had enough of the liberal media’s “over-the-top negativity” in how it covers President Trump. Even though Cavuto is not a fan of President Trump, and vice versa, the Fox News host still knows how to do his job, and he’s angry!

“This over-the-top negative media response to everything he does––well, that’s not right or fair,” Cavuto said.
Cavuto noted that during the weeks after Trump’s election when stock markets rose due to the anticipated impact of Trump’s policies, the news media never connected Trump with the Wall Street’s success. However, he noted, when the markets dipped after the failure of Obamacare overhaul last week, it was labeled the “Trump slump” by one media organization.
He also noted that CNN carried an opinion piece with the headline, “Is Trump Already a Lame Duck President?”
“Who comes up with this quack?” Cavuto said. “Where is the balance in that? Where is the fairness in that?”

Cavuto had three questions for the news media. “Are we so blinded by being slighted that we can’t be even slightly fair? So unhinged in our rage that we become unhinged in our coverage? So off-balance in our pique that we can’t even feign balance and end up just looking pathetic?” he said.
“Spend a little less time feigning shock the president’s doing stuff you might not like, but he is doing everything he promised,” he added. “I’m not saying it’s time you get over Trump,” he concluded. “I am saying it’s time you get over yourselves.”

Given that Cavuto is no fan of President Trump, his criticism of the media’s biased treatment of the president should be taken very seriously. It’s one thing for a supporter of the president to chastise the media for its over-the-top negativity towards Trump, but when a critic speaks out against the media, everyone should take notice.
The media’s job is to be tough on all politicians, but as each day passes, most members of the press seem unable to set aside their partisan dislike of the president and cover him fairly.
And that is one of the biggest reasons millions of people turned out to vote for him.
