NASCAR owners absolutely schooled the NFL and their owners on how to deal with National Anthem protesters, issuing a stern warning to their drivers and crew members.
Richard Childress, longtime owner of Richard Childress Racing and former owner for Dale Earnhardt, said kneeling for the Anthem will earn his team members “a ride on a Greyhound bus.”
“Anybody that works for me should respect the country we live in. So many people gave our lives for it. This is America,” Childress said.
Richard Petty, nicknamed ‘The King’ throughout his illustrious racing career, and current team owner, told reporters he’d take it a step further.
“Anybody that won’t stand up for the anthem ought to be out of the country,” he said. “Period.”
The NASCAR owners earned praise on social media from Donald Trump Jr.:

The President himself responded this morning.

And guess what? The warnings appear to have worked …
USA Today reported that, “NASCAR again proved to be an insular oddity in American sports culture on Sunday as Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series pre-race festivities at New Hampshire Motor Speedway were completely devoid of the type of national anthem protests that have permeated other professional sports.”
Naturally, far-left kooks working at ESPN chimed in, pointing out the supposed irony that NASCAR supports the confederate flag – something that is completely false.

NASCAR chairman Brian France called the flag an “offensive symbol” in 2015 and asked for its removal from speedways.
Nice try, Jemele. Maybe go back to tweeting other demonstrably false statements, like when you declared all Trump supporters are ‘white supremacists.’
Numerous NASCAR drivers and owners endorsed President Trump in the 2016 election, seeing him as the best choice to ‘Make America Great Again.’
Part of that now appears to be upholding standards for their employees, demanding respect for the National Anthem and the American flag.
If only Roger Goodell and the NFL owners could similarly find their spine and start enforcing rules for their players, coaches, and staff members.
