Census Data Reveals More Americans 18-34 Live With Parents Than Spouse

Donald J. Trump has been in the White House for less than 100 days, and he has taken up the task of rebuilding the American economy that has been crippled under 8 years of Barack Obama.

Under Obama, wages did not rise, Americans continued to leave the labor force, and America’s youth saw their job opportunities decline as they entered the workforce, despite many of them completing college or graduate school.

Unlike in years past, America’s youngest workers were forced to compete with older Americans for entry-level jobs, as the employment market continues to shrink thanks to the regulatory and tax burden Barack Obama placed on businesses across the country.

Now, new data from the U.S. Census reveals the extent to which Obama’s policies have devastated America’s economy, specifically its youngest workers.

In the report, the Census reveals that more Americans aged 18-34 now live with their parents than a spouse, a dramatic change from the 1970s.

From CNSNews.com:

“There are now more young people living with their parents than in any other arrangement,” says the Census Bureau study. “What is more,” says the study, “almost 9 in 10 young people who were living in their parents’ home a year ago are still living there today, making it the most stable living arrangement.”

The Number 1 living arrangement today for Americans in the 18-to-34 age bracket, according to the Census Bureau, is to reside without a spouse in their parents’ home. That is where you can now find 22.9 million 18-to-34 year olds—compared to the 19.9 million who are married and live with their spouse.

The Census report provides a handy chart to detail just how much America’s youth has suffered under Obama:

Throughout the 2016 campaign, then-candidate Donald J. Trump was very critical of the Obama economy, and pledged to lower taxes and reduce regulations, encouraging American companies to invest and hire new employees.

Another disturbing trend this data shows is how younger Americans are also moving away from marriage. A recent study found that 70% of men aged 20-35 are not married, so that coupled with a lack of job opportunity, thanks to Barack Obama, helps to explain why so many young adults still live at home.

The longer Americans wait to get married, the less kids they have, which can cause America’s population to decline significantly. Japan is a prime example, which has seen it’s population actually decline, resulting in a stagnant economy and a serious demographic crisis. To put it into American terms: think of the viability of Social Security if it becomes even more lopsided than it is today.

And while the economy is a huge factor in these trends, we should also keep in mind the liberal social values that are force-fed to Americans through public school, liberal universities, and the liberal media.
