CNN Reporter Asks Gotcha Question, Pence Gives Her a Stone Cold Stare

After watching the following video clip, mainstream media reporters should be on notice – Mike Pence isn’t playing your petty gotcha games.

The vice-president appeared with CNN reporter, Dana Bash, to discuss the North Korea situation.

Bash inquired about an arms build-up in North Korea that could lead to an attack on America, then implied that it would be the Trump administration’s fault.

“You know this is real for you,” Bash charged. “You know that there are estimates that North Korea could have a missile ready that could hit the continental U.S., Seattle, by 2020, which is going to be on your watch.”

This is an incredibly simplistic assessment of the North Korean crisis, a crisis that began when former President Bill Clinton paved the way for the country’s nuclear capability through the North Korean deal of 1994, then allowed to proliferate under a disinterested Barack Obama.

But it’d be President Trump’s fault, in Bash’s view.

Pence wasn’t buying it, and delivered a response that required no words, just an icy, icy stare of disdain.

Check it out…

Pence’s agitation was palpable. So Bash followed it up with another question.

“Is that weighing on you?” she wondered. “Is that a deadline that you have in mind?”

“The president has no higher priority than the safety and the security of the American people,” Pence responded. “The presence of U.S. forces here in South Korea. Our longstanding commitment to the Asian Pacific and ensuring the security of the continental United States will remain the priority of this administration.”

Perhaps that was an adequate answer for the clearly befuddled Bash.

If not, Pence then delivered a truly epic line to help the CNN reporter understand that any policies of weakness dissipated when the last administration left power.

“The United States will always seek peace, but under President Trump, the shield stands guard and the sword stands ready,” he said.

And that, my friends, is what peace through strength is all about.

Do you support Trump and Pence policy of having ‘the sword stand ready?’ If so, share this post with your friends!
