In May of 2013, British soldier Lee Rigby was brutally murdered by two jihadists – Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale – in London. They were killed in broad daylight. As a society with virtually no guns, civilians watched on helplessly as Rigby was hacked to death.

Both men have since been sentenced to life in prison – but one of them has a few complaints. Why? Because the heartless killer “lost two teeth after lashing out at officers who were trying to escort him from his cell at Belmarsh prison in July 2013. 31-year-old Adebolajo’s teeth came loose after he smashed his head against a window.”
And because the murderer lost two teeth during his failed fight with prison security, he wants compensation. The man’s teeth must be made of gold, because he’s demanding 100,000 pounds from the British government (about $132,000).
According to British paper The Express, “Adebolajo has hired a lawyer to pursue compensation of £25,000, claiming to ‘suffer distress, loss and damage,’ but the two-year fight could end up costing taxpayers a further £50,000 in legal costs and £25,000 for a police probe – bringing the total to £100,000.”
At this point you’re probably thinking: “So what”? This jihadist is just some nut-job who is going to spend the rest of his time in prison. And besides, what reasonable judge would give him a dime?
God knows, but it’s happened before – recently in fact. Canada’s government issued a former apology to released Guantanamo Bay detainee Omar Khadr and awarded him $8.1 million (10.5 million CAD) – a decision defended by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Apparently Khadr’s “suffering” in Club Gitmo outweighs the fact that he murdered an American soldier.
