Megyn Kelly’s Rating Have Fallen Every Week Since Her Debut

The evidence is piling up that Megyn Kelly’s career peaked at Fox News.

While Kelly may have thought she’d bolster her image by moving from a conservative-leaning network to a more “traditional” (translation: liberal) network, she failed to bring her audience with her.

After all, few viewers from Fox followed her to NBC, which they likely viewed as a betrayal. Her previous conservative audience now sees her as a “RINO,” and any potential liberal viewers at NBC see her as a Fox conservative.

It’s never great when you piss both sides off, but when you look at the like/dislike ratios on the uploads of her interviews, it’s clear that’s exactly what’s happening.

Her debut episode on NBC drew in 6.1 million viewers – and it peaked there. That’s because the first-half of the episode featured an exclusive interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Her ratings then plummeted after the Putin interview.

It was just two weeks before she was getting beaten by reruns of America’s Funniest Home Videos. And it gets worse, much worse.

She hasn’t been on the air for two full months yet, and Kelly has already shed half of her audience.

Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly, a news magazine show featuring the former Fox News star, pulled in just 3.1 million viewers, according to Nielsen. Viewers apparently didn’t much care for the stories: sexual harassment in Silicon Valley and the overtired Russia collusion scandal.

If you’re keeping score at home, Kelly’s ratings have dropped each week since her show’s debut.

60 Minutes won the time slot again with nearly double Kelly’s viewers — 5.9 million. AFHV pulled 4.25 million. Game ofThrones, for the record, pulled in a whopping 16.1 million.

The bad ratings came during the same week that NBC announced Kelly’s upcoming morning show would premiere September 25.

Kelly’s evening show will go on hiatus when the NFL season begins. But NBC is no doubt starting to wonder about paying Kelly $17 million.

H/T Daily Wire

Certainly a cancellation will be in order if nothing changes. I reviewed the salaries of other major anchors who far outperform Megyn Kelly in the ratings, and they earn less than she does! George Stephanopoulos earns “only” $10 million, Conan O’Brien earns $12 million, and Jimmy Kimmel earns between $13-$15 million.

A $17 million paycheck was generous at 6.1 million viewers per episode. It’s outrageous at 3 million per episode – especially when you can’t even outperform reruns.
