After 20 Deportations, Sergio Jose Martinez Sexually Assaulted Two Women

An illegal immigrant who had previously been deported 20 times was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two women and stealing one of their cars.

We repeat: He was deported 20 times!

Sergio Jose Martinez was arrested for his crimes in Multnomah County, Oregon, a location that in December of 2016 (note the date) voted to become a sanctuary county for illegal immigrants and refugees. The vote was a direct response to President Trump’s election.

Martinez allegedly broke into the home of a 65-year-old woman, sexually assaulted her, stole her car, then assaulted another woman before being caught on foot by police.

A man accused of breaking into a 65-year-old woman’s home, sexually assaulting her and stealing her car was arrested after allegedly assaulting another woman and running from police.

Sergio Jose Martinez, 31, was caught July 24 after officers chased him through a neighborhood.

According to court documents filed in March 2017, Martinez has a history of illegal entry into the United States. He has been a transient in the Portland area for more than a year and has been deported 20 times.

As noted earlier, Multnomah County became a ‘sanctuary county’ in December of 2016. The Department of Homeland Security reports that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged a detainer against Martinez, requesting that authorities notify them before he was released. The detainer was meant to allow ICE to take him into custody.

Authorities refused, despite knowing Martinez had an arrest record that already included burglary, battery, theft, and obstruction.

Because of the incompetence of officials in the Portland area, and as a direct result of liberal ‘sanctuary’ policies, two women suffered a horrific attack at the hands of a criminal illegal immigrant.

Acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Thomas Homan, recently issued a warning to illegal immigrants saying “you should be uncomfortable, you should should look over your shoulder, and you need to be worried.”

This thug wasn’t looking over his shoulder, however. He wasn’t uncomfortable. And he wasn’t worried.

Why? Because he knew he had sanctuary in a liberal cesspool like Multnomah County, Oregon.

Sanctuary cities encourage crime, and in this case they helped aide and abet a criminal in engaging in a violent sexual assault. Law enforcement officials who failed to comply with the ICE detainer for Martinez need to be fired.
