Kid Rock Weighs in on National Anthem and Confederate Flag

Kid Rock apparently needed to sound off about a few things – including the Confederate flag and National Anthem protesters.

And, boy, did he ever, taking to social media to absolutely obliterate extremists on both sides of the aisle, blasting those taking part in the recent rash of Confederate flag and statue removals, and hammering NFL players who protest the National Anthem.

Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, posted a lengthy screed that seems to be in response to efforts by the left to have his concerts canceled in Detroit.

“Pay NO attention to the garbage the extreme left is trying to create! (and by the way, f*** the extreme left and the extreme right!),” the rock legend wrote. “They are trying to use the old confederate flag BS, etc. to stir the pot, when we all know none of this would be going on if I were not thinking of running for office.”

Rock went on to excoriate those protesting his shows:

“Pretty funny how scared I have them all and their only agenda is to try and label people / me racist who do not agree or cower to them!! No one had a word to say when we sold out the 6 shows at LCA back in January! My track record in Detroit and Michigan speaks for itself, and I would dare anyone talking trash to put theirs up against mine. I am also a homeowner and taxpayer in the city of Detroit, so suck on that too!”

He then took a nice little jab at the left’s favorite race agitator, asking “Has Al Sharpton even paid his back taxes yet?”

The National Action Network’s (NAN) Detroit chapter requested that Kid Rock’s concerts be canceled, despite the sorely needed economic boon they provide the city and despite all of the philanthropic work Ritchie has done for his home town.

NAN Political Director Sam Riddle, who has been front and center in the effort to ban Ritchie’s shows in Detroit, is called out by name by the possible future senator from Michigan.

“Sam Riddle is a piece of s*** criminal and prime example of a lot that is and has been wrong with Detroit,” he states. “Sam, you suck and you know it!”

We conducted a lengthy fact-checking investigation to see if Kid Rock’s assertion that Riddle is indeed a criminal was accurate. Our analysis: True.

Riddle served 37 months in prison for accepting a bribe while serving as the chief-of-staff for ex-Councilwoman Monica Conyers.

Kid Rock proceeded to take on NFL players and their National Anthem protests in a postscript, pointing out that Colin Kaepernick’s current unemployment status has more to do with being a bad quarterback.

“To be clear – F*** ANYONE who takes a knee or sits during our national anthem!” he railed. “Pretty sure if Russell Wilson or Tom Brady were doing it they would have no problem finding a job playing for any team they wanted in the NFL! So cut the bulls***!”

Roughly a year ago, the rock and roll star expressed similar sentiments towards Kaepernick (you can hear them about 46 seconds in) …

The singer added that he probably shouldn’t have wasted his time by addressing “these bottom feeders” but “I will always stand up for myself, my family, my friends, my fans, my city, my state, my country and the good in human nature!”

Then he concluded with a comment that will surely have the left going apoplectic.

“P.P.P.P.P.S. I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!!” he wrote.

It’s clear the race card, Confederate flag, and National Anthem story lines just aren’t going to fly with Rock. The media better get used to this kind of reaction from a real American, especially should he decide to run for office.

People! Pay NO attention to the garbage the extreme left is trying to create! (and by the way, fuck the extreme left and…
