Arizona Senate Candidate Kelli War Calls Out Republicans For Not Backing President Trump

Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward has launched a primary challenge against Senator Jeff Flake, a well-known Never-Trumper.

Ward challenged Sen. John McCain the last election cycle but ended up losing. This time, however, could be different. Ward is a firm supporter of President Trump and she may have a shot at beating Sen. Flake.

Jeff Flake, along with McCain and a whole host of Republicans, are trying to shut down Trump’s agenda to make America great again. They publicly criticize the president every time they step in front of the camera. That makes liberal Republicans like Flake darlings of the liberal media.

Ward is not like that. She ripped the GOP for not backing the president on Fox News.

Ward said, “I definitely think in 2018 we need to elect people who have that America first agenda in mind. People who want to secure the border, who want to stop illegal immigration, who want to repeal Obamacare finally, who want to keep the economy growing, who wants to fix the tax code and want to make sure that our military is the strongest in the world.”

“Unfortunately, we have a lot of people in Washington, especially in the Senate, who like to talk a lot, but don’t like to collaborate with each other, House to Senate, within the Republican Party to accomplish the agenda that the American people are crying out for,” she added.

When asked about a primary challenge to Trump, Ward said, “I certainly think that would be a big mistake for the establishment wing of the Republican Party to attempt. I think President Trump and his leadership is what the country wanted, that’s why he’s in the White House and I think he’s got lofty goals that we should accomplish that will put America first.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is very unpopular – and he’s sabotaging our president at every turn. If Kelly Ward is going to have a shot at winning, she needs to explain to voters why congressional Republicans just aren’t getting the job done. We all know McConnell defends his valued sycophants in the Senate in exchange for their obedience.

Do you agree with Ward? Do we need more Republicans in the Senate who back President Trump?
