Rep. Keith Ellison Says Nancy Pelosi Likes the Idea of Single-Payer Health Care

Rep. Keith Ellison wanted to tell his crowd some juicy information about single-payer health care – aka fully socialized medicine – and how Democrats like him are trying to push it on our country. The information was so juicy that he even asked the crowd if anyone was recording the event before he shared his private insight.

Ellison admitted on video that Nancy Pelosi says one thing in public, but the exact opposite in private when it comes to health care. For years, we’ve been told that Pelosi doesn’t want the U.S. government running health care. But apparently she fancies the idea in private.

Imagine that. A politician that says one thing in public and then changes direction in private. Is America waking up yet?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is more supportive of pursuing a single-payer health care system than she’s willing to publicly admit, deputy Democratic National Committee chair and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison said in a video obtained by The Daily Caller.

“I believe in — I’m signed onto H.R. 676 which is a single-payer health care act. They call it Medicare for all. Yeah, universal health care. Real single-payer health care. I’m on that. But let me tell you this,” Ellison said at a local party meeting in Minnesota last Wednesday, partial video of which was obtained by TheDC.

Ellison asked if anybody was recording him before proceeding.

“Is anybody taping me right now? OK, so, you may have heard that Nancy [Pelosi] is not for it, but that’s not really true,” Ellison said. “Nancy has to represent a very diverse caucus. She does not like getting out ahead of the caucus too fast. So she’s trying to get, she’s, you know, you know, she actually likes the concept.

Medicare for all?

When you have Medicare, you pay monthly premiums, deductibles, copays, and for your meds. And since Medicare doesn’t cover everything, you sometimes need to buy a secondary insurance. Dental is another monthly premium. And then if you do get a COLA in your Social Security check, they raise the Part B monthly Medicare premium.

Does that sound like it’s a good deal for every American? I think not.

And how’s that for keeping your mouth shut? Pelosi probably had words for Ellison when her minion told her about this huge mistake.
