BREAKING: Judge Approves President Trump’s Voter Commission

A federal judge has dismissed complaints against President Trump’s voter integrity commission, paving the way for the federal government to collect data from the states on voters.

President Trump proposed this commission to do something that hasn’t been done in decades: Dig deep into voter data to see just how many American citizens voted, and how many illegal aliens boosted the rolls.

Democrats are always quick to deny the effect illegal immigrants have on our democracy. But, for some reason, they’re never willing to allow anyone to take a close look at the data. It’s almost as if they’re hiding something…

The ruling was highly technical, but it clears the way for the commission to once again begin collecting data from willing states.

Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly said that if the commission had continued to use an Army website to collect the information, it might have run afoul of privacy laws. But because the commission switched gears and now plans to use a White House server, it escapes scrutiny, the judge said.

A watchdog group alleged that the Trump Administration should use a privacy assessment before collecting data from voters. But Judge Kollar-Kotelly rejected this notion after the mechanism to collect data was moved to a White House server from a server governed by the Department of Defense. Had the data collection remained under the Defense Department, it would have been subject to federal laws regarding privacy. But since it is now with the White House, the same statues do not apply.

Judge Kollar-Kotelly was right to come to the decision she did. It’s time we looked into the data to determine just how many voters were obeying the law when they went to the ballot box. Now, we just need more states to comply with the commission.

Democrats should support this commission more than anybody. After all, they’re the ones who welcome large swaths of immigrants here, arguing that it won’t affect our democracy in a partisan or destructive fashion.
