John McCain Continues to Attack President Trump

Senator John McCain (RINO-AZ) is continuing his mission to undermine Donald Trump.

The “Maverick” Senator is going after the President for a worldview that supposedly puts the western world in more danger than it was under Barack Obama. McCain is accusing Trump of having a tenuous relationship with the truth, and suggesting his attacks on the media are “how dictators get started.”

The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake called McCain’s verbal assault a ‘systematic dismantling of Trump’s entire worldview’ and described it as “stunning stuff from a member of the President’s own party.”

Well, stunning if you view a McCain “establishment” Republican in the same manner as you do a Trump conservative. And right now, the establishment Republicans are seeking nothing more than to serve as useful idiots to liberals and the anti-Trump media.

And even considering the two men’s up-and-down history and the terrible things Trump has said about McCain, it was a striking display from a senior leader of a party when it comes to a president of the same party.

McCain then took this argument to his friend Chuck Todd at MSNBC.

The senator explained that he believes “many of his (Trump’s) statements have been contradictory” regarding his worldview, then blasted the President for equating the U.S. and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“That moral equivalency,” he said, “is a contradiction of everything the United States has ever stood for in the 20th and 21st century.”

Not content to rest there, McCain took Trump to task for calling the media an enemy of our nation.

McCain said such an attack on the press is “how dictators get started.”

Um, no. There is quite literally a very successful media watchdog that covers fake news and bias 24/7 known as NewsBusters. Read that site and then say only a dictator can believe the media is an actual enemy of the American people. They are corrupt, and thus a danger to the country.

Todd was so gleeful with McCain’s ‘dictator’ attacks that he retweeted the Meet the Press posts on the matter multiple times.

The senator concluded that he hopes a Republican Congress can “thoroughly investigate” the Trump administration.

If only Senator McCain and the GOP had put up such a fight when President Obama was in office.
