CNN’s Jake Tapper Admits the Media Went Easy on Obama

President Donald Trump is fighting a war with the media unlike any other presidents have faced.

Roughly 93 percent of the mainstream media’s coverage of Trump’s first 100 days in office was negative. The overwhelming negative stands in stark comparison to the figures for Barack Obama, which were 41 percent negative, 59 percent positive; George W. Bush, 57 percent negative, 43 percent positive; and Bill Clinton, 60 percent negative, 40 percent positive.

All of the mainstream media is against Trump – and he even has some enemies over at Fox News, the lone conservative network out there.

The latest crusade against Trump by the media has them playing the “heads-I-win, tails-you-lose game.” When it came to Trump’s response to the tragedy in Charlottesville, no response time would be fast enough for the media – and no condemnation of the violence would be strong enough for their liking. For instance, Trump is being criticized for not explicitly condemning white supremacy – a standard Obama was never held to when Dylan Roof shot up a black church with the goal of starting a race war. Nor did Obama condemn racism following the race-motivated shooting of officers in Dallas and Baton Rogue back in 2016.

Heck – things have gotten so bad that Jake Tapper, the only intellectually honest person over at CNN, is admitting as much.

In a shocking twist of events, CNN anchor Jake Tapper – who has rarely pulled punches on the Trump Administration – admitted to Rolling Stone that President Obama wasn’t the paragon of honesty he’s made out to be by the media.

Admist softball questions about how Tapper feels about being lampooned by Saturday Night Liveand whether he thinks Kellyanne Conway was wrong to do a 25- minute straight interview right at the beginning of Trump’s Presidency, Tapper gives a refreshing perspective on how journalists have covered the Trump Administration as compared to that of President Obama.

Spoiler alert: he believes they were egregiously uncritical of Obama.

Tapper went on to say that the trend in media to consume news that only conforms to a certain worldview is “troubling,” but again, it isn’t as if his employer, CNN, has made a concerted effort to keep a political agenda separate from their news reporting.

And why was the media so easy on Obama?

Perhaps the fact that only seven percent of journalists are Republicans has something to do with that.

For as concerned with diversity as they are, I haven’t seen any leftists concerned with intellectual diversity in that profession.

Share this story to show your friends and family that the media gave Obama a free pass!
